The awareness of your surroundings, closing your eyes you start to feel a deeper connection with the smells and sounds of the woods, you are awakening another part of you that may often be lost when you are relying on your eyes for visual contact.
In the sense meditation we are engaging with all our other senses, aside from the eyes, listening to the soundscape of the forest, feeling the wind on our skin, tasting the air around us, allowing our feet to ground down into the earth and connect with the forest and the space on a deeper level.
Often a guided meditation will occur to set us up for the day and create a mindful space for us all to work together in.
Benefits of Sense Meditation:
A deeper understanding of the space we will be working in
A transferable Relaxation technique
Learning to actively listen
